Where is Energy Used?
Space heating, (ventilation losses), and water heating make up the greatest contribution towards energy consumption. When we start to plan an energy reduction strategy, this is where we start... On later pages we will demonstrate how services interact and changes impact on each other. It is important to address saving energy in a methodical and planned way.

In terms of the amount of energy consumed heating the space, or the pool hall, is disproportionately high compared to other areas of consumption.
However in terms of cost there is a more even split. This is because the cost of running equipment powered by electricity is so much higher than gas or oil.
